C - The forest floor layer is 20 feet high. Our classroom ceiling is about 10 feet high. The height of the forest floor would be like two of our classrooms stacked on top of each other.
MC - Text to Self. The article said air doesn't blow through the Understory layer. This made me think of a sauna I was in at the gym. In the sauna it was hot and steamy and the air felt very still. I would NOT want to live in the Understory layer!
R - It was interesting to learn that the epiphyte plants are shaped a certain way that lets water collect into a puddle. This allows animals a place to stop and take a drink.
I made a connection while reading this article. The article was talking about how some plants sprout bright flowers to attract insects well when I was in science class we were talking all about the importance of the flower. And Mr. Proctor was saying how important the flower is to the insect. That’s what I was thinking while reading.
The worlds biggest forest creatures depend on each other. That is the way me and my teammates play baseball. We depend on each other to win or to get someone out.
I made a text to self connection, the article said the flowers in the rain forest sprout big bright flowers that attracks insects. This made me remember that in my science class my teacher is talking about how important flowers are; when the flowers are big and bright insects attrack to the flowers.

The Emerald Tree Boa reminds me of when I held a Green Anaconda becuse the both look similar.
In the Rain Forest, it rains up to 175 inches a year. That is like half of Mrs.Mcgingly's room full of water.

The understory is 59 feet. That is like starting in Mrs. O'Keef's room and going to the teachers bathroom.
